It's hilarious how some people take you so wrong that it's funny.
Or they accuse you for crap when they don't know a shit.

Ah drama.

Oh well, it's the joy of the cyber world.

:D

So you might've noticed I haven't uploaded anything for a while?

I'm actually sort of taking a break from them. Or not really, I just have no time. Art school started two months ago, and we've been drawing and painting almost everyday. I want to use this time to improve my traditional art, which isn't at all good.

You can follow me at my new art blog [link] if you want, where I upload most of my traditional art... really.. most are actually just doodles but hey, I'm practicing! I'll upload other crafts as well, so be sure to check it out and follow it if you like it!

It doesn't mean I won't upload anything here though, once in a while, I will!

Cause everyone tells.

Right. Remember the school I didn't get into?

So I had a friend who applied for the same school, to another line. Way after deadline was over. And got in.

I am so fucking pissed off, and not because I didn't get in, A thousand people didn't get in, so I'm just one of the unlucky suckers. I'm pissed because he cheated his way in.
So he had a "friend" whos mother works as a teacher in the school. So apparently they had a "free spot" (according to my friend) and so the friend and the mother helped his way through. He did a crash "portfolio" which he got "help" from his friend (as in, his friend did his portfolio.) and the mother in'd him.

The school will take in people with the brightest ideas, and painting and drawing skills are very important.

Not that I'm looking down on him, but honestly, HE DOESN'T DRAW. Or even have a drop of artistic abilities in his blood. Judging from abilities, I would get in, not him, as he doesn't even know the basics. And believe me, he's not an unnoticed person with a hidden talent that will blow you away. Come on, he didn't even know what a portfolio is. No seriously, I'm really not trying to step on him, or jealous of him or anything, but he really doesn't draw or paint and ignorant to the fact that he'll have to work his darn arse off to climb up the ladder and thinks everything will be easy.

A lot of talented people didn't get in. I'd probably be the last on the waiting list to get in, and judging from my friend's "abilities" he'd be even lower on the list, if it could go any lower.

I know this post will make me sound like a spoiled bitch who can't get over the fact that she couldn't get in and jealous of the friend with no skills who got in, but really, that's not the case. You might as well say I'm jealous of every single student who got accepted. No, they deserved their spot. But my friend doesn't. It's so fucking unfair. It's unfair to me, and the rest of the people who didn't get in, who worked their asses off on their portfolio. It's unfair to the people who did get in, who impressed the judges with their own skills and abilities.

Now I'm just wondering if I should file a complaint to the school, notifying them of a corrupted teacher. If they don't take action about it, I'm going to have to head to the school boards. But I might as well go ruin my friend's dream. Not that he really cares, he's a spoiled brat who didn't even know the price of the tuition because his dad was paying for it. Lots of people are dying for his spot and he doesn't care if he loses it.

Art theft. ART THEFT. FUCKING ART THEFT!!!!!

Ugh I'm so fecking mad. So I have a pixel doll shop on Gaia, it's not even been 1 month since I opened it and I already came across three thieves. THREE!

One was the layout of my shop.
One was the base of my dolls, who had claimed they made it from scratch (dude, it was obvious)
One skilled pixel artist, her "newest" ones seemed awefully similar to mine, but I don't really care about this one.

I'm going to talk about the second one. Since she apparently have no shame as to steal my style and edit them and then sell them for ridiculously high prices, I might as well post her crappy work.

This was how her doll originally looked. [link]

Dude, similar much?

She claimed she made it from scratch, but I zoomed it in and similar legs and arms aside, guess what? [link]

Then she agreed to change the eyes, to this [link]

And then to this [link]

Oh, not to mention that the pose is VERY similar to this doll of mine [link]

She had refused to change the concept of the thin arms and legs. Seriously, big head, round black eyes, thin arms, legs and fobby poses are characteristics of my dolls, and they make them unique. I don't doubt that there are pixel dolls with the same concept out there, but this is just so ridiculously similar to my dolls.
I'm grateful she had agreed to change them, but I do not like the idea that she had taken MY "bases" and edited them to make them her OWN and then sell each doll for 50k. WHAT THE HELL?

For anyone who wants to see my dolls, here [link]
Do not steal them for I will find you.

I'm thinking of closing the shop just to protect my art. I'd rather earn less then my art and style being stolen.

So I got a letter from the school I applied for. As I expected, I didn't get in. This year there were 251 applicants while there were only 16 places for Graphic Design.

Oh well... I loved my traditional pieces at least. I'll scan them in once I recieve them :D I'll be applying next year again, so this year I guess I'll take my Korean at uni and take some other courses. Hoho. It also gives me more time to practice

Meanwhile, I've been reading. A LOT. I just finished a YA book called Wings, it's about a teenage girl who finds out she is in fact a fairy. The story and the book is lovely, although I would prefer a better writing x_x

Now I'm more than halfway through the fourth book of the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead, Succubus Heat. She's one of my favorite authors and her books finishes so fast! *cries* I'm almost done with this book, and I'll have to wait til next year for the next book.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Paranormal (no vamps or ghosts :/) or mythological creatures, set in the modern era?
NO Wicked Lovely please. I can't seem to digest it.

Ugh now I'm gonna have to go back to finishing bunch of art. A few commissions, art trades, and theme pics for auctions o_o;
